Manuscript Reader is a suite of free tools for writers — including the read-aloud reader, Prose Analysis, and the Query Letter builder. By using any of these tools, you agree to these terms. They are short, plain-English, and written in good faith.
All tools on this site operate entirely inside your browser. No text leaves your device — no manuscripts, no query letter drafts, no audio. The tools are provided free of charge, with no accounts required.
You retain full ownership of everything you paste or type into any tool on this site. We make no claim to your writing or your queries. Because nothing is ever uploaded to our servers, we never have access to it in the first place.
You may use Manuscript Reader for any lawful purpose. Please do not use it to process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or that infringes the copyright of others without authorisation.
Manuscript Reader is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The voice model may make errors, mispronounce words, or behave unexpectedly. We make no guarantee that the service will be available at any particular time.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of Manuscript Reader shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the tool, including but not limited to loss of data or interruption of work.
Manuscript Reader uses the Kokoro voice model (Apache 2.0 licence) and kokoro-js for in-browser inference. The site itself is open source. These licences are separate from these Terms of Use.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the tool after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
